Community Meetings Nov./Dec.

Community meetings planned Nov. 29, Dec. 2
to get input into proposed attendance boundary changes

The Pattonville Parent Redistricting Committee will host two public meetings for parents, staff and community members to review a plan for proposed attendance area boundary changes. The first meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at Pattonville Heights Middle School. The second meeting will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, at Holman Middle School.

These meetings have been designed to give parents and others an opportunity to review the proposal and to express support and or/concerns about the plan. Committee members will be available to talk with those in attendance. Large maps and street guides will be available for review. Comment cards will be provided, or staff members will be on hand to record comments into a computer for review by the Parent Redistricting Committee prior to making its final recommendation.

The committee will meet on December 10 to review and discuss the public comments and make a recommendation to the superintendent to take to the Pattonville Board of Education. The board is expected to make a final decision on a plan in January.

A brochure explaining the redistricting process, including a map of the proposed boundary changes, will be sent to students' homes in early November. A copy of the map will be posted in all schools. Comment cards also are available in each school. E-mail comments may be directed to redistrict@psdr3.org. Information is available on the Pattonville web site: www.psdr3.org.
